DC voltage-based virtual synchronous generator scheme for eliminating circulating power of two-stage grid-tied converters

virtual synchronous generators (VSGs) powered by renewable energy sources prefer to have storage attached the DC link with DC–DC converters, emulating inertia and smoothing intermittency of generations. This paper proposes a new VSG method for two-stage converter eliminate circulating power among inverters while having external characteristics identical those traditional VSG. In particular, proposed uses inverter, converter, capacitor together implement swing equation. Meanwhile, can still achieve strong similarities in terms physical structure, control, mathematical model. Therefore, stable operation is easy evaluate well-developed system theory. Moreover, developed be capable eliminating paralleled VSGs. Simulation experimental results also verified effectiveness method.
